In the south of Salzburgerland lies the small community of Sankt Michael im Lungau. B&B Appartementenhuis Eckenhof has a number of apartments and double rooms. The complex is located next to a gondola lift, which makes it an excellent location for winter sports.
A reader of this website recommends the accommodation because she was able to eat gluten-free very well and writes the following: "Last week I was in Austria at Eckenhof, run by Dutch owners. They know a lot about gluten-free food and have family members who have celiac disease. They offer a good breakfast and know how to get you to restaurants that serve gluten-free. The gluten-free breakfast consisted of individually wrapped sandwiches from Schär. We could choose from different types, in addition there were also crackers and muesli. We got a separate plate with toppings and could grab fruit and other types of toppings from the counter. There were three types of homemade jams and delicious coffee and tea.
Don't forget to indicate during your booking that you must eat gluten-free, lactose-free is also possible.
